Celebrating Girls in Information and Communication Technology Day

St. Hubert last week hosted a Women in Technology Conference, sponsored by Cisco Systems, in the new Connelly Arts and Design Center.

The conference took place on International Girls in Information and Communication Technology Day, with a theme this year of Leadership.

Joining St. Hubert students were girls from Little Flower and Archbishop Ryan, along with state Sen. Jimmy Dillon, minority-party chairman of the Senate Communications & Technology Committee.

The keynote speaker was Jeanine Heck, Senior Vice President, Entertainment Product at Comcast, and 1995 graduate of St. Hubert.

The speakers were Terry Grogan, from Tower Health; Christi Finnegan, TMNA Services; Gladys Kline, ThousandEyes (a part of Cisco); Gretchen Area, Campbell Soup Company; Alyson Andreas, Campbell Soup Company; Monique St. John, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; and Patty Vollmar, Colgate-Palmolive. ••
